What Is the AV IoT Hub?
The AV IoT Hub is a collaborative non-profit industry body designed to bring together hardware manufacturers (RFID readers, antennas, tags, NFC, BLE, UWB), equipment manufacturers (lights, LED, truss, rigging, cases, cables), rental & staging companies, software vendors, and end-user teams.
Our mission is to develop shared standards and interoperable workflows, pool industry knowledge to drive adoption of IoT asset tracking, support economies of scale, joint development, and shared research, and provide a unified voice to drive the AV sector forward.
We are a neutral, cross-industry group accelerating IoT-enabled asset tracking, standards development, and interoperability in the global AV, LED, and production ecosystem.
Why Now?
Rising Costs
Operational inefficiency and asset loss cost the industry millions.
Fragmented Adoption
RFID & IoT adoption is fragmented and inconsistent across the industry.
No Unified Standards
Shared standards reduce cost, friction, and compatibility issues.
Global Supply Chain Pressure
Manufacturers need consolidated feedback for R&D investments.
Industry Inefficiency
Rental houses need interoperable gear with consistent EPC practices.
Need for Collaboration
Users want faster workflows, better telemetry, and data-driven operations.

- ✗Not a closed group
- ✗Not controlled by any one company
- ✗Not a replacement for RAIN Alliance, PLASA, ESTA, etc.
- ✗Not vendor-exclusive
